Caribbean & The Bahamas
With over 7000 islands, reefs and cays, the Caribbean offers
unlimited yachting in a warm all the year around climate. The multitude of island locations are extremely varied - each exuding its own particular charm - but most offering that magical
combination of crystal clear waters and beautiful sandy beaches.
Just some of the great yachting destinations include:
Turks and Caicos - a group of unspoilt, low lying islands and cays with beautiful, peaceful beaches.
British Virgin Islands - 60-or-so tropical islands offering perfect conditions for 'yachties'.
Anguilla - home to a 16-mile coral reef and boasting some of the Caribbean's finest beaches.
Antigua & Barbuda - rolling hills and endless coves and the
opportunity to discover 365 stunning beaches.
St. Barts a glitzy French resort and a natural destination for the elegant set - champagne, caviar and some of the world's finest cuisine.
The Spice Islands - the sweet scented islands of Grenada,
Caymans, Jamaica and Martinique.
Aruba - with its distinct 'Dutch' heritage and architecture Aruba enjoys a much dryer and sunnier climate than most of the region. The world famous Hadikurian (Fisherman's Huts) beach attracts thousands of windsurfers annually.
The Bahamas
A vast archipelago of over 700 islands, only a handful of
which are inhabited. This unique group of islands covers an
area of 100,000 square miles stretching southwards from the
tip of Florida.
With amazingly clear waters, brilliant white beaches and stunning coral features, the Bahamas are ideal for yachting as many of the countless isles are only reached by water - endless opportunities for unhurried exploration. Destinations include the relatively small island of New Providence where over two thirds of Bahamians live, Grand Bahama, a centre for conservation and the Abaco Islands, renowned for turquoise waters, coral reefs and silky sands.
