East Coast USA

The eastern seaboard offers safe cruising all the way from the Florida Keys to Maine in New England, and onto Canada. A major attraction of this long coastline is the Intra-coastal Canal, a system of canals, rivers and estuaries stretching almost the entire length of the coast offering safe sailing through sheltered waters close to the open ocean.

Dry Tortugas, a small island group located to the west of Key West, offers numerous sub-tropical islands with excellent marinas, coral reefs and clear seas teeming with tropical fish.

Florida Keys
A string of islands stretching southwards from Florida, featuring the only coral reef in the continental United States. Key West is famous as the home to writers, artists and sport fishermen. The yachting facilities are excellent and the restaurants are renowned for superb seafood cuisine.

Miami
Straddling an assortment of man-made islands, Miami is home to a vibrant Cuban culture, flamboyant luxury hotels, superb beaches, fantastic restaurants and unlimited nightlife. Nearby, Bimini is a popular yachting destination and ‘a must’ for big game fishing.

Fort Lauderdale
Betwixt Miami and Palm Beach, this charming waterfront city is home to luxurious mega yachts and a natural destination for all lovers of water based activities. The city’s charm revolves around the waterfront.

Chesapeake Bay
USA’s largest bay features thousands of miles of shoreline, deserted beaches, wide estuaries, sheltered anchorages and snug harbours.

New York
Sailing north brings you to the confluence of Hudson and East River and the city that needs no introduction; from here it is possible to sail straight up to the Great Lakes via a system of canals and locks.

Further north brings you into Long Island Sound and its sheltered moorings. Then on to New England and the historic waterfronts of Newport RI, Block Island, Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket.

Finally there’s Maine’s rugged coast - stunning cliffs, countless bays, endless coves, picturesque fishing villages and fantastic seafood.
